"In an announcement posted earlier today, Kevin Carmony, the President and CEO of Linspire, Inc. announced that Linspire will be based on Ubuntu in the future. In return, Linspire’s CNR service will be avilable to Ubuntu users."
Interesting new development, I can't see this as being anything but good for Ubuntu users, any comments?

Ubuntu and the Beryl Goodies!

Is there a Ubuntu install that includes all of the stuff Beryl offeres? I d/led the ubuntu ultimate and it has Beryl, but I can't get anything to run.
How do you run Beryl and what hardware is required? At one time I had a Live CD that only allowed nvidia graphics cards. The next version only allowed ATI cards.
Any experience with this?

Ubuntu live CD ??

Hey. I have heard alot of ubuntu linux but not sure if i can use it on my Intel Macbook. I have a OS Emu called Q which can download ubuntu and boot it right from Q but it's about 340mb. it would take about 15 minutes to download on my connection but a waste of space if it doesnt work.
so I want to know if creating a ubuntu live CD to boot from start up would work on my Mac.
